Patient Support

Intravenous Fluids - Prevent dehydration and maintain blood pressure and hydration through surgery

Patient Monitoring – Track respiration, oxygen saturation, heart rate rhythm and temperature during surgery.

Patient Warming – Northside uses the Bair Hugger Warmer to help prevent unintended hypothermia. This warmer provides clinical warmth to the animal before, during and after surgery.

Pain Management - In order to practice high-quality veterinary medicine there needs to be a focus on pain management. It is one of our primary concerns when treating a pet for any medical condition. Experiencing pain can affect the body’s physical functioning, in addition to having a detrimental effect on a patient’s well-being and state of mind.  Whether it is a medical procedure or a chronically painful condition, we are dedicated to providing safe and effective pain management for every patient. Our compassionate approach to pain management involves anticipating potentially painful procedures and taking steps to manage the pain throughout your pet’s treatment and recovery process. In addition, we will help you recognize signs of pain in your pet so that we can manage the treatment appropriately.

Post Operative Care - Detailed discharge instructions will be provided when your pet is ready to go home. This report reinforces the post operative care that is required and medication instructions. Please call the office if you have any additional instructions.
