Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive diagnostic procedure, which unlike X-rays, does not result in your pet’s exposure to radiation. 

This non-surgical test can help rule out or confirm a diagnosis and be a tremendous help when determining the size and location of evident tumors, cysts and stones. In addition, it is essential for obtaining a biopsy, aspirating an organ, performing an echocardiogram and confirming the viability of a pregnancy.

Digital X-ray allows for a more rapid and clearer assessment of your pet.  Digital radiology allows for the image to be adjusted and magnified for a more accurate and thorough evaluation.

The veterinarians at Northside Veterinary Hospital have extensive experience using endoscopy, as yet another diagnostic and minimally invasive tool to help see inside your pet and determine the cause of illnesses. The veterinarian can take biopsy samples, remove small foreign objects and obtain cultures right through the rigid scope. Therefore, there is minimal recovery time and pets can return to daily activities much more quickly. Endoscopic procedures are performed under general anesthesia, with most patients going home the same day.
